Appointment system
If you would like to make an appointment to see a doctor or nurse please contact the receptionist.
Most appointments are available to book on the day and usually done by telephone. Receptionists are available to take your calls from 8am to 6.30pm.
We will try our best to arrange the appointment to your convenience.
For emergency appointments on the same day or within 48 hours, you are not guaranteed to see the doctor of your choice.
If appropriate, You may be offered a telephone consultation with one of the doctors to asses or offer advice on management of your condition.
If you would like to see a particular doctor you may have to wait for the next available slot with that doctor. You may be waiting for up to a week.
You may be able to book an appointment up to a week in advance however the number of pre-bookable appointments are limited and most appointments are 'book on the day'
If all appointments at the branch you are registered at are taken for the day, you may be offered an appointment at one of the other branches. All your records are available at all branch sites and the same GPs work from all sites.
If you are unable to attend the surgery during normal working hours, we operate a late evening surgery between 6.30pm and 8.30pm on Monday evenings. The late evening surgery for all three branch sites is operated from Oswald Medical Centre, Oswaldtwistle and you can ask the receptionist to get booked in.
If you are too poorly to attend the surgery and you need to see a GP, you can request a home visit. GPs will be happy to see you at home for genuine emergencies.
